GOD BLESS THE BSA!

ONCE AGAIN THE THE MADMAN IS MAD.
NEW YORK (AP) — After a confidential two-year review, the Boy Scouts of America on Tuesday emphatically reaffirmed its policy of excluding gays, ruling out any changes despite relentless protest campaigns by some critics.
An 11-member special committee, formed discreetly by top Scout leaders in 2010, "came to the conclusion that this policy is absolutely the best policy for the Boy Scouts," the organization' national spokesman, Deron Smith, told The Associated Press.
Smith said the committee, comprised of professional scout executives and adult volunteers, was unanimous in its conclusion — preserving a long-standing policy that was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2000 and has remained controversial ever since.
As a result of the committee's decision, the Scouts' national executive board will take no further action on a recently submitted resolution asking for reconsideration of the membership policy.

The influence of Scouting on American society is frequently cited by both its advocates and critics. Critics have called the BSA's membership obligations unfair, resulting in litigation in various state and federal courts. In 2000, the Supreme Court ruled in Boy Scouts of America v. Dale that Boy Scouts, and all private organizations, have the constitutionally protected right under the First Amendment of freedom of association to set membership standards.

When you take a close look at the core values of Scouting and its long length of time teaching them and the long list of Honored Men that have done great things you will see God and Family and Country come first. Scouting is a exclusive club with membership rules. They have the right to keep these rules and stay the way they are.
This will not be the last time Scouting will come under attack for there values and the morals they teach.Since its founding in 1910 The BSA goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance.I am Honored to be a part of it. I have two boys in the BSA I hope they carry on this tradition as my father did.
Like some many other things that is good in this screwed up world it has come under attack by people that think there way is better because it is there way and those with moral values scare them make them feel uncomfortable. If moral values bother you then maybe the problem is not the morals but the immoral view!
The life styles of our modern age has pushed so much of the Moral values to the point of extinction. It is a shame that Something like The BSA. has to be attacked because the have a set of core values.
